Charity shops play an important role in promoting sustainability by offering an alternative to the fast fashion industry and reducing waste sent to landfills. Here are some reasons why charity shops are important for sustainability:
Reduce textile waste: Textile waste is a growing problem, with an estimated 92 million tons of textile waste generated each year globally. By donating clothes and buying secondhand items at charity shops, we can reduce the amount of clothing sent to landfills.

Promote circular economy: Charity shops provide a platform for the reuse and recycling of items, promoting a circular economy. The circular economy is an alternative to the traditional linear economy (make, use, dispose) and emphasizes keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible.

Raise funds for charity: By donating and buying items at charity shops, we are supporting charity organizations and causes. The money raised by charity shops goes towards funding important projects, such as medical research, education, and poverty alleviation.

Encourage conscious consumerism: Shopping at charity shops encourages consumers to be more mindful of their purchasing habits and reduces the demand for new products. It also provides an opportunity to find unique and vintage items, promoting individuality and creativity.

Provide affordable options: Charity shops offer affordable options for people who may not have the means to purchase new items. This promotes access to fashion and other goods, without the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion production.
Charity shops are an important component of sustainable living. They offer a variety of benefits, from reducing waste and promoting a circular economy to supporting charitable organizations and promoting conscious consumerism. By donating and buying items at charity shops, we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.
FULL CIRCULAR ECONOMY
BLESS is a charity shop based in Malaysia where we are now collecting the material from them that they were not able to sell secondhand. We are starting to collect every two weeks from this partnership.
In this collaboration with BLESS, we are promoting the full circular economy. Not only they are collecting the material, getting it through our ISO zero waste factory for sorting, and helping out the home sewers, but also they are going to sell the products.
BAGAIMANA IA DIBUAT
1.
Mengumpul
2.
Menyusun
Australia Textiles Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn Bhd (ATMM) menyusun tekstil terpakai kepada lebih 500 kategori berbeza di Pelabuhan Klang, Malaysia.
Setiap minggu mereka menerima bertan-tan Baju Kurung berwarna terang.
