RECYCLED CLEANING CLOTH
Our U4B industrial cleaning cloth is for the environmentally conscious companies. The companies who
innovate their sector and are committed to the betterment of the environment. Top Glove is the first company to pioneer this program with us.

Our cleaning cloth uses absorbent material that is stitched by members of the community to provide much needed work, whilst reducing landfill waste. Every kilo you purchase of cleaning cloth, helps avoid up to 1.8kg of Green House Gases (GHG).

You have the chance to play a role in a solution that helps to prevent textiles pollution.

HOW ITS MADE
1.
Collecting
Lifeline Clothing Malaysia Sdn Bhd (LLCM) collect unwanted textiles from the Top Glove Tower in Setia Alam.
Upon collecting the unwanted textiles, a report is generated which states the amount collected as well as the collection details.

The used textiles collection bin is a safe space for the community to dispose of their unwanted textiles and household goods.
2.
Sorting
Australia Textiles Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn Bhd (ATMM) sorts the used textiles into over 500 different categories in their factory in Port Klang, Malaysia.
The suitable cleaning cloth material is identified and separated from the Top Glove textiles and household items collection bin, ready to be sent to the next stage of its journey.

3.
Cutting
Australian Textiles Manufacturing Malaysia. (ATMM) is the only ISO-certified textile processing company in Malaysia that has a manufacturing license.
ATMM cuts the material into conveniently sized patterns and uses the scraps from the cut material to fill inside the inner cloth. This helps to reduce waste and prolongs the longevity of the cleaning cloth, but also ensures that the cleaning cloth is more padded.
4.
Stitching
We have agreements in place with academies, home sewers, sewing schools and members of the B40 class in Malaysia for them to stitch and make cleaning cloth.
This means that Top Gloves' purchase, is supporting everyday people within the community. Due to its simplistic design, even inexperienced sewers have an opportunity to hone their skills and generate an income for their family.
